This issue statement’s main goal is to examine social media sites’ content and identify posts that incite hatred. On social networking sites and messaging apps, there is a lot of hate speech that poses a threat to the peace of our society and can incite conflict. For instance, promoting hatred toward a specific group, religion, person, etc.

Background of the Problem

Such posts could be in the form of text, photos, videos, or audio messages, that evoke anger and hatred, and tend to influence people negatively against something or someone. From a law enforcement perspective, it is critical that such posts are identified quickly so as to prevent untoward law and order problems.All user feedback provided through this mechanism, such as any corrections to hate content classification done by the solution, must be incorporated, and the solution must organically learn over a period of time to improve the accuracy of its output. Participants are expected to find suitable data required to work on this problem statement on their own.

Objective

The primary objective of this problem statement is to explore content in social media platforms and highlight posts that promote hatred. There is a lot of hate content being circulated online on social media platforms and messaging apps that threaten to disrupt harmony in our society and flare up tensions. For example, inciting hatred against a particular community/ religion/ person etc.

Summary

Build a solution to automatically identify posts on social media platforms that spread hatred of any kind.The solution should identify all such content and throw an alert if the probability score is beyond a certain threshold.

Associated Metadata such as the person who posted or uploaded such hate content, date and time, people who have liked, commented and shared the same etc. should also be presented.
