Development of an app/software for tracking dual use chemicals (chemicals that have legit uses and when diverted become precursors to major drugs)from their manufacture to end use. Need to have proper app and software to collate and maintain this data with proper data mining facilities. We should also have utilities in generating crucial reports.

The creation of a software or app for tracking dual-use chemicals (chemicals with legal purposes that, when diverted, become precursors to dangerous narcotics) from production to final usage. For the collection, maintenance, and data mining of this information, appropriate apps and software are required. Additionally, tools for producing important reports must to be available.
Background of the Problem
Imports or use of Drugs having Dual use and drugs, which are used as Raw Material for the manufacturing of other drugs requires permission from Zonal Offices of CDSCO. Dual use means drugs which can be used in both pharmaceutical as well as other industries. These are substances which are covered under the definition of the drugs but are not used for medicinal purposes and are used in other industries like textile industries, chemical industries, and food industries etc. or are used as a starting material/intermediate material for synthesis of other drugs. In cases of imports or use of such drugs, an application of NOC needs to be procured from the zonal office of CDSCO.

Summary
The intended solution should enable tracking the supply chain of these dual use drugs from the manufacturer to the end user. The solution can be in the form of a cross platform software application. It should be feasible to integrate with the existing flow with minimum changes. The solution should enable the authorities to monitor the data in real time and can generate the observations as a report.
